Astyanax mexicanus      HDM      PHF2_PHF8

※ PHF2_PHF8 family introduction

PHF2_PHF8: The PHF2_PHF8 group members are found in worms, mice and humans, and contain a PHD domain in addition to a JmjC domain. The subcellular localization of these proteins remains unknown, although most of them contain predicted nuclear localization signals (NLSs), indicating a role in nuclear function. Northern blot analysis indicates that PHF2 is ubiquitously expressed, and in situ hybridization has shown that the majority of PHF2 gene expression is concentrated in the embryonic neural tube and root ganglia in mice.
